[ The heart of India is Textiles for me, because you may go anywhere in India people are very much covered with textiles in so may ways and in so many colours that is in different colours and prints of cloth that is ags

THE REAL HEART OF INDIA IS ANY OR ALL VILLAGES of INDIA.

THERE ARE 6,66,369 VILLAGES IN INDIA ESTIMATED IN THE YEAR 2019.

Textiles was a mother of all Industry's in India and even now it is the only industry in the country which employes the maximum skilled, unskilled, technical. non technical, all types of Civil.engineering all the commercial, sales, knowledge in accounting and other business in textile industries.

India’s current population in June 2026 is approximately 1.476 billion people, making it the most populous country in the world, surpassing China. This accounts for nearly 18% of the global population.

How much cloth is needed for the populations of all the Villages that are in India.

1)India was having huge number of Textiles and many were famous mills which was managed by France,Portugese and British who exported their products and sold in India also.

2)IN India we have 15,733 mills and in 2025 - 26 these mills produced totally 89.18 billion square meters of cloth valued at nearly (Rs.16.2 lakh crore) for domestic consumtion.

3) At present No mill is shut but they are all idle with workmen still going to work and getting partial wages and Crores of money is paid as of now with no intention to run the mills by Govt controlled mills not even bothered to take action to run the mills.

I feel deeply honoured to have spent this meaningful time with such a highly esteemed personality as Shri S. K.G. Rao, who has served at top leadership positions, including Director-level roles, and worked across different countries worldwide. His vast global exposure, combined with his foundational strength as a B.Sc. (Textiles) graduate of GSJSJTI (1953–57) and Patron Member of The Textile Association (India), reflects a lifetime of commitment to excellence in the textile and apparel industry. His strategic insights into international trade, industry evolution before 2000 and post-2026 transformations, and policy frameworks like the Indus–US trade engagement demonstrate rare clarity and depth. Even at 92, his intellectual sharpness, technological adaptability, and enthusiasm for continuous learning are truly inspiring. I highly appreciate and salute such a distinguished global professional whose experience, humility, and active engagement continue to guide and motivate younger generations.

Happy to spend valuable time at the Residence (Malleswaram, Bangalore ) of Sri SKG Rao , a man of enthusiasm and vast experience and knowledge in the world of Textiles.
